Henri is a tribute to one of the most known artists of the 20th century, Henri Matisse, painter, engraver, illustrator and sculptor, the greatest exponent of the Fauves.
There is the simplification of the shapes, the elimination of the perspective and chiaroscuro, the use of vivid and unnatural colours, the decisive use of pure colour often squeezed directly from the tube to the canvas and a sharp and marked counter line.
For this tribute we chose the red leaf of its “bouquet“ LA GERBE.
